Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Between a man walking
He became very thirsty
So he went down to Bara'
So he drank from it
Then he went out
Then he saw a dog panting
He eats dirt out of thirst
And he said
This has reached the same level as what has happened to me
He was filled with lightness
Then he caught it with his mouth
Then he was promoted
Dog immorality
So God thanked him and forgave him
They said
O Messenger of God
And we have reward for the animals
He said
In every moist liver there is a reward
