The story of women's suffering in the time of Moses, peace be upon him Pharaoh's torture of women in the time of Moses, peace be upon him God mentioned to us the story of Pharaoh’s torture of the women of the Children of Israel in five questions from the Qur’an In Surat Al-Baqarah, Surat Al-A'raf, Surat Ibrahim, Surat Al-Qasas, and Surat Ghafir God Almighty said And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were inflicting on you a terrible torment, slaughtering your sons and sparing your women, and in that was a great trial from your Lord. And the Almighty said And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were inflicting on you a terrible torment, killing your sons and sparing your women, and in that was a great trial from your Lord. And God Almighty said And when Moses said to his people, “Remember the blessings of God upon you.” When He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who subjected you to terrible torment, and slaughtered your sons, and spared your women, and in that was a great trial from your Lord. And God Almighty said Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into sects. He weakened a group of them, slaughtered their sons and let their women live. Indeed, he was one of the corruptors. And the Almighty said When he brought them the truth from Us, they said: They killed the sons of those who believed with him and spared their women. And the plot of the unbelievers is nothing but error. Meaning of bad torment That is, Pharaoh tortured the women of the son of Israel with different types of torture Including the first type Keeping them alive to humiliate them Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, may God have mercy on him, said As for the interpretation of his saying, “The torment is bad,” it means that the torment is bad for them Some of them said the most severe punishment If that were the meaning, it would be said that the worst torment If someone says to us, “What is that torment that they were inflicted on, that was afflicting them?” It was said that it is what God Almighty described in His Book. He said They slaughter your sons and spare your women Ibn Taymiyyah, may God have mercy on him, said This slaughter and shame is the worst torment Muhammad Rashid Reda, may God have mercy on him, said Since salvation can only be from injustice or evil He explained what he saved them from by saying, “They will inflict upon you a terrible torment.” That they may impose upon you and seek upon you something that will distress you and humiliate you in torment Then he explained that by saying: They slaughter your sons and spare your women That is, they kill the males of your offspring They keep their females alive To weaken and humiliate you Leading to the cutting off of your lineage and your extermination And in that is a great trial from your Lord Yes, and that includes torment And in salvation from it In each of them is a great trial and test for you from your Lord As he said in another verse We tested them with good deeds and evil deeds so that they might return Al-Tahir bin Ashour, may God have mercy on him, said And shyness is an effect Indicates demand for life That is, they remain alive or ask for their lives He was mentioned here as a reminder of the misfortunes that befell them This modesty of females was intended to be malicious That is, they attack their honor There is no way to begin with the answer by virtue of captivity and slavery So his saying comes to pass, “And let your women be ashamed.” A metaphor for a special shyness Therefore, he included the reference in his saying And in that is a great trial from your Lord Even if what is meant by modesty is apparent When he directed his compassion to that calamity Al-Shanqeeti, may God have mercy on him, said God Almighty said And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were inflicting on you a terrible torment They slaughter your sons and spare your women The apparent meaning of this noble verse It indicates that women are shy Among the torments that Pharaoh inflicted on them It was mentioned in another verse Which indicates that females are a gift from God To whomever gave them to him It is what God Almighty says He gives females to whomever He wishes, and He gives males to whomever He wishes Some children remain like this Better than all of them dying As Al-Hudhayl said I thanked my God after Urwa was saved Harsh and some evil are lesser than others And the answer to this Even though females are a gift from God to the one who gave them to Him They remain under the enemy's hand He does whatever obscenity and shame he wants to them He uses them for hard labor as a form of torture Their death is a relief from this torment The Arabs wished for the death of females For fear of such Abu Zahra, may God have mercy on him, said And the Almighty said And let your women live To ask for the lives and survival of their women There is no desire for the same revival Rather, let them be slaves in their homes And enjoy their beauty It is an outrageous injustice known only to Pharaoh and others like him We also saw one of them at this time Keeping women alive It is to torture and oppress men It is one of the worst torments Images of torture appear to us based on what the people of interpretation have mentioned They are used while sleeping And assaulting their honor And conquer their men The second type is killing their children This is a kind of torment that is more severe than the first on a woman’s psyche This is the child she carried in her womb for nine months She endured the hardships of pregnancy and the pain of labor and childbirth When I was happy with his birth Pharaoh's soldiers come to kill him What will be the psychological state of this bereaved mother? How long will this pain and brokenness continue for the mother? The third type Anxiety and psychological disorder This is a type of torment that women went through in the time of Moses, peace be upon him It is anxiety and psychological disturbance every time she gets pregnant She doesn't know Will her baby be a boy and will he be killed? A female mother will be left to be insulted and humiliated when she reaches puberty This torment continues with her for nine months of anxiety, fear and turmoil She doesn't know how to hide her pregnancy She does not know how to protect her fetus She does not know what the fate of this pregnancy will be And how will the end be? Have you seen such suffering that women go through today? We will continue in an upcoming meeting, God willing Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds The story of women's suffering in the time of Moses, peace be upon him
