The nuclear forty
On the authority of the Mother of the Believers, Umm Abdullah Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Whoever introduces something into this matter of ours that is not part of it, it will be rejected
Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim
And in a narration by Muslim
Whoever does something that is not subject to our command
It is a response
This hadith shows a great principle of Islam
It is the obligation to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And abandoning innovations in religion
Every act of worship or action brings one closer to God
It was not in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah
It is returned to its owner
No matter how good his intentions are
The hadith teaches the Muslim that correct worship
It is based on devotion to God
And following the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
The rightness of an action is not based on intention alone
Rather, it agrees with the guidance of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
