Types of men in the hadith of Umm Zara’
My husband is a high-ranking man
If the eighth woman was generous in praising her husband with eloquent words
The ninth woman began praising her husband with eloquent words as well
She said, “My husband is tall, has long hair, has great ashes, and the house is close to the club.”
She described him with four beautiful qualities in a man
The first is that he is of high lineage, and she expressed this by saying, “He is of high rank.”
Abu Ubaid Al-Harawi, may God have mercy on him, said: She describes him as honorable and virtuous
The teeth of lightning and the teeth of plants are shortened, and the teeth of honor are extended
The origin of the pillar is the pillar of the house, and its plural is the pillars, which are the sticks with which houses are baptized
Rather, this is a proverb that means that his house is high among his people
Judge Iyad, may God have mercy on him, said that her statement was high-profile and described him as honorable in his lineage and eminent among his people.
The moral elevation of a house is borrowed from the visible elevation of a baptism from the visible house of a dwelling
Arabs are usually proud of their high lineage
A woman is proud of the women around her that her husband has a high lineage
The benefit of a high lineage is that it prevents its owner from being foolish in matters and morals
He of high lineage rises above the actions of the ignorant and foolish
Society accepts only the best qualities from him
If he violated it, people would criticize him and he would become a disgrace to the worlds
This is what prevented Abu Sufyan from lying to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas that Abu Sufyan bin Harb told him
Raql was sent to him with a group of Quraysh, who were merchants in the Levant

Abu Sufyan and the infidels of Quraysh lived there
They brought him and they were with Elijah, so he called them to his council
The great Romans surrounded him, then he summoned them and called for his interpreter
He said: Which of you is closer in lineage to this man who claims to be a prophet?
Abu Sufyan said, “I said, ‘I am the closest of them in lineage.’”
He said, "Bring him closer to me and bring his companions closer and put them at his back."
Then he said to his interpreter, “Tell them that I am asking about this man.”
If he tells me a lie, then they lie to him. By God, if it were not for the shame that they would lie about me, I would have lied about him
Narrated by Al-Bukhari. People of lineage are keen to maintain their reputation among the people
So they look away from the ugly things, and there is another meaning in describing him as being high among his people
Judge Iyad, may God have mercy on him, said about him, and perhaps you want to support the house
The meaning is that his supervision raised him to a high position for guests to visit
This is a sign of generosity, as it says that his house is prominent to people and not hidden among houses
Guests can access it easily
The second is the beauty of stature, and she expressed this by saying: Tawil al-Najjad
Abu Ubaid Al-Harawi, may God have mercy on him, said that he was described as having an extended stature
Najjad is a sword strap, so it needs as much length as that
This is what poets praise, said the poet
His robes were shortened for him, so they became shorter, and he was careful of their strength, so he made them longer
Judge Ayyad, may God have mercy on him, said that he was described as perfect in his appearance and of great stature in his build
She presented this by saying, “Tall Al-Najjad,” because a tall person needs to lengthen his long necks
She praises her husband in a way that indicates the beauty of his image to her, which is what a woman usually desires
It is a woman's nature that she does not want her husband to be shorter than her
Because if she walks with him, she feels like he is one of her children, or so the person looking at her imagines
This feeling hurts her and makes her feel strong and safe while she is with him because of his shortness
A woman may live in confusion if she is approached by a suitor who has beautiful characteristics but is short
He may be seen with beautiful characteristics due to his short stature and his moderate stature as evidence of strength
It indicates his strength by the fact that the tips of his sword are as long as him, to make it easier for him to use his sword when he needs it
The third is generosity and generosity, and she expressed this by saying, “Ashes are great.”
Abu Ubaid Al-Harawi, may God have mercy on him, said: You describe him as a generous and generous person with camel meat and other meats
If he does that, his fire will grow larger and its fuel will increase, so the amount of ash will be as great as that
Judge Iyad, may God have mercy on him, said, “Then she described him as generous in his character and generous with his hand.”
She refrained from that by saying, “The ashes are great,” and that is because he who has many guests and sacrifices for them
By roasting and cooking their food, his fire increased and his ashes increased
This is a generous husband, and whoever honors his guests also honors his family, and she praised him for saying that he is generous and that his guests are many
With these words, she refers to her love for having many guests and her lack of boredom
It must be of service to these guests, despite their large number, in what it does, provides, and contributes to
Only one who has a noble nature and loves guests will accept this, never gets tired of serving them, and does not prevent her husband from receiving them
The fourth is its closeness to people, and she expressed this by saying that the house is close to the club
Abu Ubaid Al-Harawi, may God have mercy on him, said that it means that he descends among people so that they know his location
Then the guests come to him, but he is not excluded from them and hides himself to escape from the calamities and guests descending on him
Judge Iyad, may God have mercy on him, said, “What you mean by this is that he resides between the people’s presence, the community of the neighborhood, the destination of the visitors, and the one seeking hospitality, so that his hospitality may be abundant.”
He does not hide in the outskirts of clothes and in the depths of houses, and he does not stay away from the borders of the incoming area, as an escape from the one who seeks it and a refuge from the one who seeks it.
Because they are not guided to its place, and they ignore its place, so they come across a curse
This is a great characteristic that indicates a love of generosity, serving people, providing relief to those in distress, and supporting the oppressed
Because if a man is close to the people, he opens the door of his gathering for them, making it easy for people to reach him
Every person who has a need that he is unable to fulfill comes to him and asks him for help with it
People only turn to those who open their hearts to them, who listen to them, make them happy, and fulfill whatever needs they need.
A man whose good qualities are expected to have the most beautiful impact on his family
The woman is lucky to have such a husband and this blessing, so she should thank God for what He has bestowed upon her
She will help her husband to do good
How, O noble man, do you have these beautiful qualities, and do you have room for people so that you can hear from them what is going on in their chests?
