Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him
He said, O Messenger of God
Which charity is better?
Jahdal Al-Muqal said
And start with those you depend on
Narrated by Abu Dawood
The meaning of the hadith
The best charity is that which is given in charity by the poor
He has little money despite his ability and scope
Although it is difficult for him
And he said, “And start with those you support.”
That is, start with those whom you are obligated to support from family and relatives
First, he extended to them an increase beyond their obligatory expenses
